looking forward to

This weekend is pretty packed for us! Tonight we are taking the youth to a youth event and then as soon as we get home tomorrow we are going to this show!

This past week has been busy finishing up the unpacking and getting to know the people of the church. I just want to show you this picture I took right after we came home from church. They had a pantry shower for us on Sunday and this was most of the food they gave us. This doesn't even include the gift cards. How awesome is that? They have really taken care of us since we have gotten here. We feel so blessed to be here!

I also received my birthday gifts from my parents this week.

And just to prove that I have been crafting lately...

I have been working on some scarves just to use up some of the yarn I have had sitting around. They aren't anything special but I have found it very relaxing to just do rows of single crochet without having to do much thinking and complicated stitches. It's almost addicting! I'm already on my third scarf! :)

Thank you for all the nice and uplifting comments on my last post. They really helped me knowing so many other people can relate. And I would love to call each one of you my friend!

I think my emotions have just been crazy the past week. Little stupid things made me cry. I would get mad easily and was super sensitive to others words. Hopefully it just passes soon. This isn't normal.

Every Saturday night now we will be going to the town our church is and staying the night at a little motel there. We normally have to drive an hour and half there and hour and half back. It gets tiresome driving that much for just church so we decided to stay Satuday nights. That way Seth can use the office to write his sermons and we can sleep a little later in the morning! Last night was the first time we stayed out there. The motel room is so tiny. I laughed when I walked in but it works for what we need it to. Last night I just laid in bed and watched TV and surfed the internet for hours. Looks like that will be my typical Saturday from now on. I guess it isn't much different than what I normally do! haha! I meant to work on the last few ornaments but forgot my scissors.

The best thing about it is now every Saturday me and Seth can have a Starbucks date! I'm very excited about that! We don't get Starbucks very often!
