I have been saving tin coffee and soup cans and thought they were perfect for this project. I took 3 different sizes and wrapped some scrap yarn around it and added the contrasting black for some texture. It was exactly what I needed to place on top of our entertainment center. I'm really loving simple decor lately.
In other news... how come nobody has ever told me about Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog!? Seth found it on Netflix and made me watch it. It is so weird but so funny! Neil Patrick Harris never fails to make us laugh!

oh my goodness. I love Dr. Horrible. If you like musicals though, (and don't mind dark/gorey musicals) you should check out Repo: The Genetic Opera... it's amazing.
