This Week's Projects

This past week I finished up a couple projects. First I FINALLY finished that baby blanket! I think it turned out pretty nice. I used a scallop edging around two sides.

Remember the owl and frame we got at an auction a few weeks ago? I painted the owl. I just wasn't feeling the gold and red eyes... I had another owl very similar to it so I painted that too. Unfortunately the frame didn't survive. I accidently stepped on it and it broke into three pieces! oh well...

Yesterday we spent the day at an estate auction. The lady that lived there had piles and piles and piles of crocheted blankets. Mostly granny square blankets. I wanted all of them but Seth wouldn't allow that... plus there were some ladies there that weren't going to let them go. But we did win a few blankets. In one of the piles I won there were 2 small blue granny square blankets. We also won a chair for $2 but it was pretty worn looking so I made a cover out of one of the blue blankets and sewed it onto the chair. Now I love my new granny square chair! It's sitting in the living room right now even though it doesn't match anything at all. I love it that much! :)
