The perfect outfit

In Style School we are supposed to create a binder with a collection of styles that we like in wardrobe, home decor, etc and everytime I try to work on it I get super overwhelmed so I haven't actually made it and I'm not sure I will. But every once in awhile I do find a style that I absolutely love! Tonight I downloaded a video to accompany the movie 500 Days of Summer (which I still haven't seen!!) called Bank Dance on Itunes. In the video Zooey Deschanel's outfit really jumped out at me. It is the perfect outfit if you ask me. So here are a few shots from the video that showcases this perfect outfit!

Perfect!

Happy Mail

I recieved my Happy Mail from Marisela of Come Fly With Me! She sent some awesome stuff! She sent some pretty yarn, pompom maker, a frame she made for me, and a gorgeous purple & silver scarf! Everything was perfect! It's so cool that she sent me a pompom maker too because I was looking online for one. I'm glad I hadn't bought one yet! And the yarn is sooo pretty! I love love love the colors! I also can't get over how pretty the scarf is! I can't wait to wear it! Thank you soooo much Marisela! And thank you Jamie for putting on Happy Mail! You put in a lot of work to make it go smoothly and you do an amazing job!

I think sign ups for February are over but be sure to sign up for March! It is really fun and it is a great way to meet other bloggers and you get some awesome goodies in the process! :)

I received my first issue of Crochet World that my mother-in-law got me for Christmas! There are a ton of Valentine-y projects! Can't wait to try some out!

I finally had some time to work on a couple projects from my online classes! In Katja's Heavenly Cute class I made this cute bow headband!

Here is my mixtape perler pendant for a necklace. I still need to pick up a chain to put it on but I wanted to go ahead and show you the cute pendant!

I also made these Mad Men inspired earrings from Style School today! I also need to buy some earrings posts but you get the idea of what they look like! I can't wait to wear these!

Keep Refridgerated

Project #4 of Style School is to make a fabric pom pom necklace. Since I don't have one of those handy dandy pompom makers, I tried the cardboard way. Now I've got my trusty yoplait pompom maker!

Try number one wasn't so successful!

But I figured I would try more fabric and see how it turned out. Turns out that was the problem! They aren't perfect but they look a whole lot better than my first attempt! I also tried a little fabric and a lot of tulle on the second one. I really liked the way that one turned out. It reminds me of my loofah in my shower! :)

By the way the colorful one is My Little Pony fabric I scored at my thrift store! awesome!

On another note, Lindsay is having another awesome giveaway! The theme of this one is Sweet Treats. To enter you have to post a picture of your favorite treat somehow. My favorite treat is cupcakes! So of course I crocheted myself a cupcake. He isn't a very happy cupcake. He knows his fate! *nom nom nom* hahaha! :)

If you want to enter be sure to do so by Sunday January 17th!

Style School Projects 1 & 2

I just wanted to show you my first two projects from Style School.

Project #1 - Yarn Wreath

We were supposed to make faux brooches to put on the wreath but I couldn't get mine to look right so I ended up just crocheting 3 big hearts out of chunky yarn. I like the look of this much better.

Project #2 - Yarn Wrapped Hanger Mobile

I made this mobile using my wedding theme. Red, white & black were my colors and I used red gerbera daisies for my flowers. I crocheted the daisy. I used the tutorial Elsie's linked in the class to edit my photos. The little ball on the end is also crocheted.

The first two projects were really fun! I can't wait to make more! Let me know what you think of what I have so far!
