A few weeks ago I started volunteering at our local animal shelter cleaning the cat rooms and playing with them. I do this every Tuesday morning and I look forward to it every week. Since we aren't allowed to have pets in our apartment I really look forward to playing with the cats. They are always so happy to greet me when I walk in the door! It makes me wish I could take them all home but I don't want to become that crazy cat lady... so hopefully I can get a cat or two in the near future. Every week there is a new "leaper" who loves to stand on the top of cages while I clean the inside and leap on to my shoulders & head. They make me laugh. They are so mischevious!

Aww that is so awesome that you do that! I bet the cats love it when you come to visit, since they are stuck there all the time. I have 3 cats that I got at a shelter, and they are the best, sweetest (usually =P) kitties in the world! You should get one as soon as you can, you will love it!
That is so great that you volunteer there! I want to so bad! I would have a very hard time not bringing them all home though, I cry every time I watch those sad commercials on tv :( I hope you get to adopt a kitty soon!!
THE ONE ON THE TOP IS ADORABLE!!!!!!! I am not a pet person at all, but I would snatch that one up in a jiffy. :)
We have four cats at my house and I've already sworn to myself that I'm never getting another cat unless it's short haired and will play with me. ;D
I can't wait till I'm fourteen and can start volunteering during summers. Just one more year and I'll be at the zoo all the time! Haha. I love the zoo. c:
Carol Anne, I love this! I have two cats at home who are my fur babies. One of them just spilled my cup of water and got all of my papers wet. I was very annoyed with her until I saw this post! Cute cute, friend!!!
