I just finished my first cross stitch! I love it! It's simple but I think it is sweet. My mom and grandmother used to do a lot of cross stitch so when I went to visit grandma a few weeks back she let me take a bunch of her cross stitch stuff to try out. I think I really like it!
Do you like? The pattern was from Two-Hour Cross-Stitch: 515 Fabulous Designs by Patrice Boerens. This book has lots of small cross-stitch patterns. Great for beginners like me!
So I traded a pair of earrings and a clutch for 3 pairs of earrings with CandleWhiz on etsy. I received them today! They are lovely! You should check out Jessica's shop here http://candlewhiz.etsy.com/. She will be opening her new jewelry shop in October! http://jewelrywhiz.etsy.com/
However when I went to check my mailbox to see if they had arrived I found them... smashed up at the top of the mailbox. I couldn't get them down. It was stuck in between the metal at the top. I had to get Seth to come downstairs to tug at them to get them down! It even said "Handle with Care" on the package... I'm glad people can read...

I have been contemplating cross stitch again. Like I need to add to the many things that are running around my house...ha ha! But it ties in well with my embroidery habit! Love your blog...keep 'em coming!
I enjoyed cross stitching when I was younger and I'd choose really challenging designs to work on. Now I think I'd fall asleep halfway through. lol.
